Day-by-Day Program
One private journey, three nights and two full days immersed in the remote Atlas. Timing remains flexible around mountain conditions and your pace.
Leave Marrakech in the morning and cross the High Atlas over Tizi n'Tichka Pass, pausing at panoramic viewpoints and mountain villages. Descend to Ait Ben Haddou, explore the UNESCO-listed earthen ksar with time for its lanes and hilltop views, then settle into a local guesthouse for dinner and the first night.
After breakfast, travel north into the Ghasat Atlas, crossing the high mountain summit before descending toward the Tessaout Valley. Stop for a traditional lunch in Tessaout, then continue through clay villages, terraced fields and dramatic river scenery. Reach Magdaz in the evening and meet your Berber hosts for a home-cooked dinner and village stay.
Spend a full day with a local guide following the Magdaz river toward a secluded mountain waterfall. This is a quiet, non-touristic place used by village families rather than tour groups. Enjoy lunch beside the waterfall, take time to swim or rest when conditions allow, and return to Magdaz in the evening for a second dinner and night in the Berber family house or village guesthouse.
Say goodbye to your hosts and leave Magdaz after breakfast. Travel through the Azilal countryside to Ouzoud Waterfalls for a scenic stop and walk, then continue across the Haouz plain to Marrakech. Arrival is planned for the evening, with drop-off at your riad, hotel or onward connection.
