The Ourika Valley is one of the most visited day trip destinations from Marrakech — a lush mountain valley in the foothills of the High Atlas, about 45 km south of the city. The valley follows the Ourika river and is lined with Berber villages, terraced gardens, local souks, and mountain restaurants perched over the water.
The main attraction at the far end of the valley is Setti Fatma, a village at the foot of a gorge with seven waterfalls. Reaching the waterfalls requires a 30–45 minute hike from the village. Our driver drops you at the trailhead or at any restaurant along the way.

Best time to visit: Spring (March–May) is the best season — the valley is green, the waterfalls are full, and temperatures are comfortable. In summer it can be hot in the lower valley, though cooler higher up. Avoid visiting after heavy rainfall as the road can be affected by runoff.
What to do there: The most popular route goes all the way to Setti Fatma for the waterfalls hike. Along the way you'll pass roadside stalls selling argan oil, fresh fruit, and local crafts. Many visitors stop for lunch at a restaurant on stilts above the river.
Return trip: The valley road ends at Setti Fatma. Plan your return with enough time before dark — the road is narrower in sections. Book your return transfer at the same time as your outward trip.
